The Back to School 2024 Pep Assembly had a lot of school spirit. The maroon and white were making me happy and cheerful, and the games that were played provided humor in watching. It was fun and funny to watch the teachers compete against each other.
As a new student, it was very fun because it showed how many people love their school. The students who announced themselves made everyone very excited and gave them the school spirit. It was fun when all the students had to go against each other and make paper airplanes to win the spirit stick and one grade level gets it every year. The jumping up and down was great and it got everyone moving. It was a great way to end the day. The band did an amazing job and so did the the color guard. When the chorus sang the National Anthem, it sounded so amazing. I have never heard a school sing that well. The cheerleaders look great. They really did a great job on their performance. I wasn’t expecting it. They had songs from old to new songs, which definitely was a throwback. The student council made everyone feel included, which should happen in every school. People got to see how the school is when new to the school, and you can see what this school stands for and how they show their love for this school. During the assembly people were spelling out the team name. Yelling out for the football team definitely boosted the confidence of the players. The teachers looked like they were having a great time and enjoying themselves. The teachers know each other, but some are new, which gets everyone to get to know one another. The students got to go against their friends for coming back to school if they didn’t get to see them for a while. The students got very competitive, but they were still nice to one another and cheered them on even when they lost. The pep assembly was a great idea to get all the students comfortable and see what it’s like in this school and give people the opportunity to go to the football games. The student council was talking very confidently and maturely. Zane Bradway says, “I thought it was energetic and really loud, but overall it was a great experience.’’ As a new student, he felt more welcomed to the school. He was very familiar with the pep assembly because of his old school doing the same thing. His old school would do the same thing of playing games. We should also do a voting for what we should do during the pep assembly for students and teachers. We should always make an announcement the day before because students could get all colorful and show school spirit. This is a fabulous way of starting the school year and we should continue to be this great for the rest of the school year.
