Recognizing Student Players

This week I have chosen two senior athletes to be recognized for their hard work and dedication at school and on their sports teams. The players’ names are Mackenzie Collins and Marysa Stoecklein. Both girls are seniors here at Osage and plan to attend a four-year college.

Marysa has been chosen because of her hard work this week while maintaining her grades and not falling behind while playing in our home Osage Tournament this past week.

Mackenzie has been selected for her contributions to our volleyball team and all her extracurricular activities. While doing this, Mackenzie has done great at keeping her grades where they should be and keeping a smile on her face.

Maddy Meyer is a 17-year-old news writer at Osage High School. She enjoys music, watching and attending sporting events, and traveling the world. Maddy is a manager for the Osage High School wrestling team, something that she has done for all four years of her high school career. She states, "It [being a manager] keeps me pretty busy, but I wouldn't change it at all." After high school, Maddy plans to attend a community college and major in dental hygiene. She has chosen a community college because "it will be much cheaper and faster in the long run." She likes the possibility of being able to complete college in three years while still being close to home.
