This week I have chosen the movie Soul Surfer. This is an older movie that was made in 2011 and is an hour and forty-six minutes long. The movie is about a teen surfer named Bethany Hamilton who experienced a shark attack and is slowly building up the courage to return to competitive surfing after losing her arm. This movie is based on a true story and is honestly kind of a tear-jerker. The movie stars Helen Hunt, Kevin Sorbo, Ross Thomas, and many others. I personally rate this movie a 10/10 and have watched it many times. It has never gotten old.

Maddy Meyer is a 17-year-old news writer at Osage High School. She enjoys music, watching and attending sporting events, and traveling the world. Maddy is a manager for the Osage High School wrestling team, something that she has done for all four years of her high school career. She states, "It [being a manager] keeps me pretty busy, but I wouldn't change it at all."
After high school, Maddy plans to attend a community college and major in dental hygiene. She has chosen a community college because "it will be much cheaper and faster in the long run." She likes the possibility of being able to complete college in three years while still being close to home.
