Lake Area Events

Some interesting events and happenings that the community around Lake of the Ozarks experience include black bear sightings, holiday lightings, Courtwarming, basketball season, and crazy weather. Out of all of those things, the most interesting thing that has happened in Missouri would be how Missouri has finally met its record for the weather to be below freezing. Missouri reached the lowest of -13 degrees this year. The month of January predominately started off with pretty intense weather. Folks begin to question if this is due to climate change or just winter weather. Another interesting topic at the Lake of the Ozarks would be how the School of the Osage High School had Courtwarming with the announcement of the court’s queen, Jada Smith, and their king, Gavin Black. The dance has been postponed for over a week due to weather conditions. So much for getting excited after the game!
