Going into high school it must have looked like there were infinite possibilities available for Alison. She was a star volleyball player only getting better by the day, an excellent student, and a passionate musician. Life took a turn for the worst, though, when during her first high school season she tore both the Lateral Collateral and the Posterior Cruciate ligaments in her left leg. While an injury like that would completely devastate most people, Alison used this tragedy to make something beautiful. She started working hard with one goal in mind, to make the top choir here at Osage, something that finally came to fruition earlier this year. Aside from just the music she sings at school, Alison is a big fan of pop music, with her favorite albums (Fine Line and Harry Styles, both by Harry Styles ) all being quintessential to her time in high school.

Deacon Lipsmeyer, Staff Reporter
Deacon is currently a senior at School of the Osage High School. Even though this is his first semester with the journalism team, Deacon has always been in love with writing. He remembers as a child that he used to design and write stories for comic books that he created. For the longest time, Deacon felt he wanted to be a journalist, and "after a few years of soul searching, [he] realized the dream was still alive and well" and joined the journalism team as a staff reporter and editor.
Deacon has been accepted into the journalism program at the University of Missouri-Columbia and cannot wait to continue delivering the best quality journalism as he develops his skills.
