Tessa Cortes has seen her fair share of homework, projects, essays, and exams during her time at Osage High School. She offers one piece of advice for teachers: “be more lenient toward late work and assigning homework.” The amount of homework notwithstanding, Tessa is satisfied with most other aspects of her high school career, mentioning that “it would be nice if we could eat outside.” Dining during lunch outside would almost meet Tessa’s level of excitement about her favorite fad growing up: “fidget spinners – fifth grade – everybody had ‘em!” Maybe that should be a new thing for relieving stress next year; let’s give everyone a fidget spinner and encourage outside lunch for an option. A change of scenery and fresh air might do us all a little good!
