Natalie Jones

Knowing what you want to do in life after high school can be tough, but Natalie Jones has it all figured out. Natalie plans to attend the University of Oregon with a degree in marine biology, and she is auditioning for the marching band. Part of the reason she chose marine biology is the influence of Squire, her biology teacher. Natalie also believes that the color that best represents her is bright green. It has been her favorite color since forever, and Natalie feels as if it represents the color of life. Green brightens everyone’s day. When on the subject of colors, Natalie would rather hear colors than be able to smell them. She says it is because of the fact that we as a society have associated colors with certain feelings, such as red representing anger, and Natalie wants to know if red really is angry. She feels as if the colors are misunderstood.

About the Contributor
Montana Walters, Staff Reporter
Montana has always questioned who she is. When she was younger, she was obsessed with anything Disney, Barbie, and video games. But now Montana finds herself struggling to figure out what she is truly passionate about. She likes specific movies but expresses that even that passion fades after a while. One thing, though, has always stuck with Montana: writing. Throughout her life, she would write a lot of short stories. Most of them, she admits, were not up to par, but she slowly grew as a writer. Montana studied grammar and found herself getting better grades on essays in school. Montana says that this skill she gained helps qualify her as a news writer, as she can structure her writing better.
